We’re part of your village at Community Kids Heatherbrae Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Pacific Highway, Windeyers Creek, Masonite Road, Hunter Valley and Tomago Road.
When you pop in to our Heathrebrae child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our spacious outdoor environments include a dry creek bed, sandpits, cubby house and a vegetable garden to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
Extending upon experiences at school and at home, our Before and After School-aged care programs provide children with a positive social environment designed for play, leisure and learning. Children participate in diverse experiences, allowing them to be physical and creative and have time to relax before or after the school day.
Our school holiday care program offers school-age children (aged 5 – 12 years) time to unwind and spend time with friends during school holidays.
You won’t need to worry about packing lunch and snacks for your child. We provide healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Allow us to treat you to a breakfast during your morning drop-off.
Each day is a brand-new adventure at Community Kids Heatherbrae Early Education Centre.
We regularly welcome special community guests to the centre based on the children’s interests. Throughout the year, educators and children venture out on excursions to our local Heatherbrae community visiting nearby parks and nature reserves. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments. Our centre has sustained partnerships with our local schools, local district Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Elders and local Support Services.
As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
Our Family Support Team are happy to chat through your child care needs. Call them today on 1800 411 604 to book a tour at our centre, meet our team of educators, and learn more about why these first five years are so important for your child’s development.
