My name is Megan Halford and I am the Centre Director of Community Kids North Richmond.
I have been in the early childhood industry for 8 years and have completed my Certificate III in Children’s Services, then going on to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services.
I have had the opportunity to hold various roles in the early childhood industry from Room Assistant, Lead Educator, Educational Leader and Centre Director. I am passionate about leading a team who hold the same values as myself and strive to inspire others during their early childhood journey.
One of the things I most enjoy about my role as a Centre Director is being in the position to assist the community, bring people together and offer guidance and support when needed to not only parents of our service but those at the local school and wider community..
The Educators and I at Community Kids North Richmond value what’s best for each individual child and their family. Joining them on a journey where everyone can learn and grow through discovery, exploration, imagination and investigation.
I aim to provide children and their families the highest quality care, ensuring each child feels safe, secure and protected with a strong sense of belonging in their environment along with having a strong connection to their local community.
Our service prides itself on our natural environment, along with strong partnerships with families, ensuring we in conjunction with parents are able to provide a program to ensure each child moves on to formal education being a confident, involved learner.
