What makes you most proud of at our centre?
At the beginning of 2019 we went through assessment and rating and we received Exceeding! Our consistency towards positive improvements has allowed our service to deliver quality of above and beyond. We have a great team of educators who are motivated, passionate and dedicated and we are always looking for new ideas and changes to incorporate into our service.
Our practices are embedded and are also informed by critical reflections. Therefore our curriculum and programs are set to up-skill children’s knowledge and to further extend their development. Families appreciate the relationships that their children have with the educators and we always encourage families to give feedback. This allows us to have an open and trusting relationship that embraces the strong connection that we have with children, their families and the community.
I am very proud to be the Centre Manager of Community Kids Springvale South and we as a team have accomplished and achieved so much over the past few years. My focus has been to drive and implement positive practices and to inspire the team of educators to further embrace the centre’s vision and philosophy. The outcome of our results are rewarding and has shaped our hard work towards contributing to its successes.
What makes your team/centre special?
At Community Kids Springvale South we have a strong team with good ethics which allows us to be accountable for the success and smooth running of the service. We believe that communication is essential for keeping track of progress and working together. The educators have an open relationship, sharing their thoughts, opinions and ideas. We have great respect for each other, the children and their families. It is important that we create an atmosphere that allows everyone to feel a sense of belonging to the team, wanting to commit and really caring for the service. We have a variety of personalities, age groups, cultures that brings creativity and high performance towards our service.
What message would you like to tell parents considering your centre?
Being a multi-cultural centre we cater for all children, as we believe that it is important to have an understanding towards different cultures. This allows children to feel comfortable, safe and respected. The diversity of our families at Community Kids helps us to further extend experiences that we promote in our programs. We really appreciate families input towards the running of the centre. I believe that by showing children that educators and families have a good relationship also demonstrates positive role modelling. We want our children to learn good behaviors, to be able to make choices and have lots of opportunities towards learning. Therefore we welcome all families to come in, ask questions and meet the team and see what we can offer your child.

Reviews and Testimonials
See what some of our parents say about our centre:
“Our family have been a part of Community Kids Springvale South since 2012. We have had 3 children attend since then, ages ranging from 3 weeks old to 4 years old. The programs and educational activities provided have assisted my children to develop in both their cognitive and fine motor skills and we even get daily emails with photos to show their progress, which is great!! The educators have built such a great rapport with my children that it reflects on their well-being and has had a positive impact on their confidence. The staff are very approachable, helpful and friendly and this makes our experience even better. Thank you Christine and the wonderful Educators and Staff at Comm Kids Springvale South, for making my family, your family!!”
“My daughter has been attending Community Kids Springvale before she could walk. She has now recently turned 4 years old and is a bright, outgoing and happy little child which Community Kids has played an integral part in. The staff are some of the loveliest people we have ever met and they have some fantastic curriculums in place which have certainly enhanced our child’s personal development. I can’t praise community kids enough and with the fun and friendly atmosphere provided at their facility, don’t be surprised when your child asks if they can go to daycare over the weekend.”
“We’ve joined Community Kids Springvale South since last year. I was so impressed with their welcome and flexibility. Christine, the centre manager is very trustful and responsible and so are her staffs. Staffs always take care kids gently and nicely. I just need to talk to them my concern then they will definitely attend to it. They do have a great cook in centre who always makes great meal for the kids. I’m so so pleased that my girl always come home with a full tummy and told me about the yummy food that she enjoyed every single bit. My very big thank to the cook and to the centre. A few times during a week, I received pictures of my daughter attending their learning program from art craft, planting tree, playing water, interacting with other kids to discovering environment, Those precious moments are captured and analysed by educators. We’re so happy to see her growing up physically and intellectually. We greatly appreciate it!”
