Centre Manager - Community Kids Bayswater
“I am extremely passionate about the early childhood sector and love the way children learn.”
I began my early childhood education and care career in 2007 and started working at Community Kids Bayswater in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Children's Services, Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management and currently studying for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
I have had an amazing experience working in early education, and I am continually learning and growing. I was an assistant, lead educator, educational leader, assistant centre manager and now centre manager. I love the early childhood sector, and just being a part of it all is amazing. We are providing a safe and fulfilling environment and making a difference in the children's lives.
I love how sponge-like the children are – they are so eager and willing to learn, and we get to be a part of it by taking that learning to different levels.
Children are eager to learn and absorb everything. And sometimes it isn't just the children learning. I am also learning with them! I then adapt and change my pedagogy style to suit the child and learning context.
I am extremely passionate about the early childhood sector and love the way children learn. I often reflect on my practices and pedagogy, continuously build and further my understanding of children's learning and backgrounds, which I find I'm always learning.
The benefits of attending an early childhood education are endless. We have qualified educators guided by the children's interests and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). Dedicated child care centres provide resources, activities, experiences, and excursions in a safe environment, building social skills, friendships, and incredibly yummy healthy meals.
The team at Community Kids Bayswater are like no other team you will come across. They are all passionate and dedicated educators who take the time to build a strong relationship with every child in the centre, not just their room. They are like an extra aunt or uncle in our centre.
We are passionate about building the centre, part of the community, and always working towards quality practices.
We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming, which is why we communicate with families regularly. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done. This includes enrolment forms, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), explaining subsidies, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.
Welcome to Community Kids Bayswater.
