“I want to make a positive difference in the lives and education of children and families. ”

Kristi Cook

Centre Manager - Community Kids Cranbourne

I began working with children in 1999 and joined Community Kids Cranbourne in 2009. I have an Advanced Diploma of children's services. I have been a centre manager at this centre since I arrived.

I pursued a career in child care as I wanted to be able to make a positive difference in the lives and education of children and families.

Every child is unique, and every child learns differently. You need to be very flexible in the education you provide to cater for everyone, as every child has the right to learn. All children have the right to feel safe and be safe in all aspects of their world, so we ensure they have that here at our centre.

We plan our curriculum around the interest of the children within the room. This provides a variety of opportunities and learning experiences for all the children.

I love working with this team. They are so committed and positive about their role as educators.

I am available to families throughout the whole enrolment process and during their start to ensure they are comfortable every step of the onboarding process.
