Centre Manager - Community Kids Golden Square
"Children’s resilience and capacity to learn are the two things that never cease to amaze me."
I began my early education and care career in 2017 and started working at Community Kids Golden Square in 2018. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
As an educator in early childhood, I believe children are central to everything we do. Children’s resilience and capacity to learn are the two things that never cease to amaze me. No matter what happens in a day, the children continue to smile and want to absorb all that is on offer.
A child is never too young to learn. If we provide the opportunities for them to learn, then the children will blossom into the knowledgeable young people they are destined to be. I believe that children who attend a dedicated early childhood education and care centre learn at a far greater rate as there is a dedicated team to provide multiple learning opportunities every day and children thrive in this environment.
My goal is to provide the utmost safety and the highest level of care to all the children in my care. We have some team members that are long-serving, with some multicultural team members who bring a diverse aspect to the team. We are fully trained and qualified, but most importantly, we are passionate about the importance of the early years of learning that we provide for all the children in our care.
We provide a very clean and safety conscious environment to meet the safety needs of all children. Cleaning procedures are followed daily, and safety checks are taken at intervals throughout the day. Child safe evacuations are also regularly practised with the children.
We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming. That’s why we encourage families to book a tour with us. During a centre tour, we will walk and talk you through all aspects of the enrolment process. We provide a comprehensive welcome pack for you to take home with you, including plenty of useful information. After enrolment, we will then schedule some orientation times for your child so they can start to get to know our team and the other children.
The number of visits will be based on your child’s needs and settling time, which the staff will discuss. We don’t rush or limit this process as we consider it a very important step for your child to feel comfortable.
Throughout the year, we plan and organise special occasions where our families are invited to attend. If you have a special talent you would like to share with the children we welcome you to join us. We like to get to know our families from the very beginning, starting with our centre tour and orientation. We continue to build our relationships through regular communication.
I look forward to welcoming you to Community Kids Golden Square!
