“A person is a person – no matter how small.” – Dr Seuss
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2006 and started working at Community Kids Greenacres in 2007. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services. I have found great joy, contentment and job satisfaction caring for and educating children.
The early years of a child’s life are incredibly important. I aim to implement an educational program that reflects both individual and group needs and one that promotes each child’s interests, learning, development, culture, and individuality through play. Children are the future and need the very best when it comes to learning and interacting in a creative and fun environment. It is important to instil confidence in young children to encourage curiosity, motivation, enthusiasm, and an interest to learn and grow as a person.
We have a team of amazing educators with most being part of the centre for more than 5 years. We see our children and families as part of our great big family.
As a centre we believe that it is important that children are provided with a secure and loving environment when they are away from their families. We know that when we consistently and lovingly meet the needs of the young child in our care, secure attachments are formed. So here at Community Kids Greenacres we offer primary caregiving, allocating a carer to each child on enrolment.
We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming. That is why from the very first enquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions one by one. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done, this includes enrolment forms, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), explaining subsidies, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.
My favourite inspirational quote is from Dr Seuss - “A person is a person – no matter how small”.
I look forward to welcoming your family to our centre.
