Centre Manager - Community Kids Heathmont
“I strive to build strong relationships with children, families, and my team. I also feel I have a great connection with our local community.”
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2012 and started working at Community Kids Heathmont in 2016. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and have also completed an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management.
I began in the education system as I wanted to make sure all children has an opportunity to learn and develop. Being a centre manager is my passion as I like to inspire the adults around me to be better educators.
I strive to build strong relationships with children, families, my team, and our local community. I have lived in Heathmont for 24 years, attended our local Primary School and worked at the local supermarket as a young 14-year-old. I believe this gives me a wider knowledge of the expectations of our families and what we can provide for them.
Our childcare centre is unique as the educators will do everything they can to make all members of our community feel like they belong. It does not matter to them if a child attends once a week or full time. The amount of affection and attention each child requires will be given to the individual for them to reach their full potential. Our families all come from different cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds and they are equally respected here.
Our centre is the sort of childcare centre where every educator knows all the children, no matter which room they are in. In the past two years, we have really developed the “CK – Family” way, we support one another, have fun and respect who we are. The whole team sees their role as incredibly important, helping children establish the building blocks for a successful lifetime of learning.
Our team understands just how important your children are to you and we ensure we take our responsibilities seriously. Community Kids Early Education Centres has extensive policy and procedures in place to assist our team in protecting children in our care.
We build strong relationships with our families through our friendly, caring and professional approach and ensure they know our expectations.
We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming and that is why from the very first enquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions one by one. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done, this includes enrolment forms, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), explaining subsidies, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.
