Community Kids Melton Early Education Centre

We’re part of your village at Community Kids Melton Early Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Melton, Melton West and Harkness, Melton South, Brookfield and Kurunjang. We are open from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Spacious areas designed to inspire

From the moment you step into our Melton childcare centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our spacious outdoor environments include a large yard, vegetable garden and play equipment to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.

Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.

Dedicated team of educators

Our longstanding team of early childhood educators are passionate about nurturing and caring for children and supporting them on the early learning journey, we even have a team member that has been part of the Community Kids family for 25 years. Our educators bring their own personality into the rooms allowing for engaging learning environments and building strong relationships with the children. We are a proud multicultural child care centre with 9 languages spoken across the team. Educators provide children with basic language lessons as part of their curriculum.

We understand that communication is critical between our team and families. We partner with our families to keep you informed every step of the way throughout your child’s learning journey. You will also receive daily updates and photos detailing children’s learning and development on our parent App - Xplor.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

You won’t need to worry about packing lunch and snacks for your child. We provide healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house chef, catering for all dietary requirements. We provide cooking classes with our centre chef. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.

Community-based early learning

Children and educators also love to venture out into our local Melton community, with excursions to nearby parks to promote connection with nature and active participation in the broader community. We also regularly welcome special community guests to the centre, such as our local dentists. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
