Centre Manager - Community Kids Murray Bridge

"I strive to make every day exciting and different, being inclusive of all children and demonstrating my passion for learning and teaching alongside them. "

I began my career in early learning in 2005 and joined Community Kids Murray Bridge in 2023. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

My passion for working with children started in my teenage years. I am inspired by the positive impact we have on children's lives as they journey through Early Childhood Education before starting school. Every child is unique, and they all learn in different ways. It is crucial to adapt our teaching styles to be inclusive of all children, ensuring we guide each one effectively.

I strive to make every day exciting and different, being inclusive of all children and demonstrating my passion for learning and teaching alongside them. A play-based environment enables children to form meaningful friendships with peers and freely explore their surroundings. It also helps them build positive bonds with educators, fostering a sense of safety, security, and support that benefits them later in their schooling.

As a leader, I am privileged to guide a team of 25 educators, each contributing their unique strengths to the centre and their individual rooms. This diversity not only enriches our environment but also ensures that our families and children feel supported throughout their time with us. My Assistant Centre Manager and our talented cook further enhance our team, providing invaluable support and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Establishing trust is essential for building and maintaining positive relationships with families. Open communication is equally important and goes a long way. Throughout my time in the early years sector, I have found that simple gestures like a smile, a compliment, or addressing parents and their children by name make families feel valued and important.
