Centre Manager - Community Kids Murray Bridge
"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." ~ Fred Rogers.
My career in early childhood education and care began in 2018. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and currently studying a Bachelor of Education.
I love working with children and have a lot of experience working in long-day and school-aged care settings. I have enjoyed working closely with families to provide nurturing and individualised care that fosters each child's physical, social and emotional well-being.
I am also committed to improving children's educational outcomes by providing a high-quality curriculum in a warm and nurturing environment. I love seeing the look on their faces when they learn or discover something new and then sharing these moments with loved ones.
My favourite early childhood quote is "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." ~ Fred Rogers.
As a centre, we embrace this philosophy with a play-based curriculum, which recognises each child's ability to construct their own learning by connecting to the physical and social environment. Educators work to support this by providing a rich learning environment responsive to their needs and interests and facilitating relationships between children, their peers, and the community.
Here at Community Kids Murray Bridge, we recognise the importance of our local community. We offer regular excursions and incursions to allow the children to develop an understanding of our community, developing their sense of wonder and belonging. As members of the community ourselves, we know there is much to see, do and learn and want to share that by immersing ourselves in it.
We have strong ties to local primary schools. It allows us to provide a school and kindy readiness program that promotes strong learning dispositions and prepares each child for their primary schooling and beyond.
We understand it can be challenging to be away from your child. But we take pride in creating a caring and supportive environment where families feel comfortable leaving their children with us. We want families to be confident that we would take great care of them. That's why we recommend you come in for a tour and meet our fantastic team of passionate and caring educators.
As a parent myself, I understand that trust is of utmost importance, both with children and their families. So I look forward to getting to know each family and child and developing a positive and trusting relationship.
At our Community Kids Murray Bridge, we aim to begin your child's educational journey by developing relationships with children and families from the moment you walk through the door. If you are curious, meet the team and see how we will support your child's learning and development now and into the future don't hesitate to get in contact.
We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming. From the first inquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions one by one. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done. This includes enrolment forms, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), explaining subsidies, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.
