Community Kids Parkes

Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Parkes and nearby suburbs Peak Hill, Bogan Gate and Forbes. Community Kids Parkes Early Education Centre is a high quality, affordable child care centre that cares for children aged from 12 Months to 6 years old and operates between 6:30am and 6:00pm. To support our busy families, we also offer a courtesy bus service that does daily pickups and drop offs in the local area.

Spacious areas designed to inspire

When stepping into our Parkes child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our adventure-filled playground includes sandpits, vegetable and fruit gardens and other exciting outdoor play equipment to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.

Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.

Dedicated team of educators

Our team strives for excellence in creating a calming, nurturing and fun program and environment to allow the children and families at our centre to feel safe, secure and supported during their time here. All of the educators are up to date with their first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training, and are constantly completing additional learning modules to assist in creating the best learning experience for your little ones. Our highly trained and dedicated team of educators are hand-picked to support not only the children on their learning adventure but also to build a strong meaningful relationship with the families of the children they care for each day. You will also receive daily photos and updates of your child's learning and development through our parent app - Xplor.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

We provide healthy meals and snacks created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Allow us to treat you to a hot coffee and a snack during your morning drop-off.

Community-focused early learning

As part of the children’s learning experiences, children and educators love to venture out into our local Parkes community with excursions to the library, our local nursing home and Cook Park for picnics. We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests including Police, Fire and Ambulance to extend on the children’s learning. We also take part in community events and host in-centre events including NAIDOC week celebrations, Paint the town RED Book Relay, Asthma Foundation PJ Day, Mother's Day/Father's Day morning tea, Bandana Day, Grandparents Day celebrations and Parkes Show.

Our childcare centre proudly offers a preschool program to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way. With a focus on language, literacy, numeracy, social skills and more your child will become school ready.

As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
