Centre Manager - Community Kids St Helens Park
“I believe learning is happening all the time.”
I have been working in the early childhood sector since 2002 and have been fortunate enough to have worked at the same centre since the start of my career. I have a Diploma of Early Education and Care.
The Early stages of a child’s life are fundamental, I believe learning is happening all the time and is interwoven through physical, social/emotional, cognitive and communication. I believe in providing children with an environment reflective of their home. When a learning environment is an extension of the children’s home this provides the children with a sense of security.
I believe children should be given choices, responsibilities and opportunities to extend their own learning through play exploration. As an educator I believe that each child is an individual and I will value and develop each child’s strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend on their learning.
I believe in building respectful and reciprocal relationships with families. When educators build meaningful relationships with the families of the service it enables the educators to gain a holistic view of the child.
With many of our team having children of their own, we have all been or are going through the process of childcare and early learning – we are proud to offer support where possible - from helping our families to enrol, applying for the Child Care Subsidy or even tips to help with fussy eaters. We are here to help.
Our service provides high quality care and a sense of belonging for all children and families. Each educator within my service has something wonderful to add to our centre. The educators at my service are very caring and nurturing. Each educator at my service have varying skills and experience within the early childhood sector. Diversity and respect are important undertones to everyday interactions.
We look forward to welcoming you to our centre and showing you everything we have to offer.
