We are an inclusive service with families of many different cultures attending our service and a number of different languages spoken amongst our educators.

Play-based Early Learning Curriculum

At our Upper Coomera child care centre, we recognise the importance of play in a child's learning and development journey. Our team tailors play-based learning activities in line with national standards, specifically the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), helping prepare them for school and beyond.

We also offer the following enriching learning experiences:

  • Sports Program: Future champs’ mission is to educate and inspire children towards happy and healthy futures. Throughout the year children will participate in the Future Champs Early Education Health and Physical Education (HPE) Program.
  • Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
  • Community Engagement Program: We often have visits from local community librarians, local police, and other community services in Upper Coomera to help familiarise the children with their local community. We liaise with our local primary schools such as Upper Coomera State College, Coomera Springs and Highland reserve to assist our Kindergarten children with their transition to ‘big school’.
  • Yoga Tuesdays: Each room participates in weekly yoga sessions to support children's health and well-being.
  • Music & Movement Program:  Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.
  • Real Life experiences: Children participate in fun and exciting experiences such as cooking lessons with our centre chef, woodworking, harvesting the veggie garden, and caring for our worm farm. The children at our childcare centre love our pet Hermit Crabs, which allows them to learn more about animals and how to take care of them.
