Community Kids Victoria Point Early Education Centre

We’re part of your village at Community Kids Victoria Point Child Care and Early Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Victoria Point, Coochiemudlo Island, Redland Bay and Thornlands. We are open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Spacious and resource rich environments

Community Kids Victoria Point early learning centre is designed to be a home away from home that encourages every child’s exploration. Our resource-rich early learning environments have been carefully designed to immerse your child into a world of exploration, curiosity, and learning.

Each learning space extends onto our beautiful outdoor environment, which encourages endless ways and opportunities for play! Our outdoor environments include a large, shaded playground to ensure that the children are being SunSmart when outside and a plethora of natural elements for the children to safely develop their strength, balance, and self-confidence through play-based learning. Our indoor learning spaces offer a variety of loose parts and engaging resources for children to learn and grow. Our experienced educators and teachers use these to design various age-appropriate play-based experiences.

Dedicated team of educators and teachers

Our longstanding team of passionate educators make up the heart of our Victoria Point child care centre. Our experienced educators are passionate about helping every child succeed in discovering their identity and become confident, happy and resilient learners.

Play-Based Early Learning Curriculum

At our Victoria Point child care centre, we recognise the importance of play in a child’s learning and development journey. Our team tailors play-based learning activities in line with national standards, specifically the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), helping prepare them for kindergarten and school readiness.

Our Early Learning Curriculum also provides children with:

  • Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Our “Kitchen Garden” program explores sustainability through composting, worm farms and growing our own produce.
  • Community Engagement Program: We often have visits from community services, dancers and librarians. We also go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment. Students from our local High School visit us every Thursday. We also host parent morning tea and grandparents day every month.
  • Sports Program: Our basketball sessions on Tuesdays allow the children to enhance their physical health and well-being.
  • Art Program: We put up a Picasso painting every week for the children to get inspiration for their painting.
  • Music & Movement Program: Every Friday we have our exclusive RAMSR (Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation) program. Every Monday, we have Zumba mornings for toddlers through to kindergarten rooms.
  • Real life experiences: Children participate in fun and exciting experiences such as woodworking, harvesting the veggie garden, caring for our worm farm and early cooking skills.

Health and Nutrition

Our Victoria Point child care centre provides children with nutritious, unprocessed, and seasonal whole foods. Our menu rotates every four weeks to cater to diverse dietary requirements. We actively involve children in food preparation to promote healthy eating.
