Community Kids Bangor Early Education Centre

We’re part of your village at Community Kids Bangor Child Care and Early Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Bangor, Menai, Woronora Heights, Bonnet Bay, Jannali, Sutherland, and Illawong. We’re conveniently located just a 5-minute drive down the road from Woolworths and ALDI Menai.

We proudly offer a Government Approved Pre-school Program to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way. With a focus on language, literacy, numeracy, social skills and more, your child will become school ready.

Spacious environments designed to inspire

From the moment you step into our child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. We have 3 separate outdoor play environments for the different age groups of children, which offer climbing equipment, water play, sandpits, cubby house, and a vegetable garden to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.

Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of qualified and experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers. You will receive daily updates and photos detailing children’s learning and development on our parent App – Xplor.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

You won’t need to worry about packing lunch and snacks for your child. Our amazing in-house cook provide healthy, freshly made meals following the guidance of NSW Health's Munch & Move program. The menus are inclusive, catering for all dietary requirements. Our cook also provides cooking experiences with the children and we have a vegetable patch in order to grow our own fruit & veggies. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Allow us to treat you to some bottled water & fruit during your drop-off or collection.

Community-based early learning

Each day is a brand-new adventure at Community Kids Bangor. Our child care centre has great community connections with frequent excursions to the local school, library & nursing home. We have regular in-centre events or celebrations, and use of a mini-bus for outings. There is public transport nearby, and several local schools which we feed into. Menai shopping Centre is a five minute drive away and Bangor shops are a two-minute walk.

Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments. Throughout the year, educators and children venture out to on excursions to nearby parks and nature reserves. We have regular visits to the local library, nursing home and Bangor Public School. Dentists, eye screening services, emergency services, and indigenous & cultural dance groups also visit the centre on a regular basis.

We offer regular celebrations throughout the year, to celebrate cultural and family events. We also host events to raise money for local and children's charities such as ‘SIDS for Kids’, ‘Red Nose Day’ or ‘Jeans for Genes Day’. We also offer an engaging sustainability program teaching the children a sense of responsibility and connection to their world.

As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
