Part of your village at Community Kids Lake Albert Early Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Lake Albert and nearby suburbs Rowan, Springvale and Tatton.
When entering our Lake Albert child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore and grow. Our adventure-filled playground includes sandpits, slide, and a vegetable garden to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our centre has pet fish for the children to learn about. We also offer cooking lessons with our centre cook on a regular basis.
Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
There’s no need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. We provide healthy meals and snacks created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Opportunities to educate children on healthy eating practices are displayed as educators encourage children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in many of our meals. Communal mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
No two days are the same at Community Kids Lake Albert. Your child will have access to an alternating schedule of specialised programs including, cooking classes, language lessons and Bush Kindy. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
We welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests including Healthy Harold to extend on the children’s learning. We have strong relationships with local schools giving the preschool children the opportunity to experience primary school through attending events such as Book Week parade, as well as being involved with a local high school and working with their child studies program.
We offer an engaging sustainability program teaching the children a sense of responsibility and connection to their world. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden while harvesting food, weeding, watering, and nurturing the environment and through our worm farm and a rainwater tank encouraging the children to play without wastage.
As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
