Spacious areas designed to inspire
As soon as you walk through the doors of Middleton Grange child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our adventure-filled playgrounds include a dry creek bed, a water play area, sandpits, cubby house, vegetable, herbs and floral garden to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers. You will also receive daily photos and updates of your child's learning and development through our parent app - Xplor.
Dedicated team of educators
Our highly qualified educators believe that children are unique learners and develop at their own pace through play. Children learn best when they are able to experience things in a variety of ways and feel supported and safe to take risks. The educators ensure that children feel safe, supported and challenged to learn new things and participate in new experiences. They seek to make sure that the environment is inviting, natural, stimulating and engaging, involving both the children’s and the educator’s personalities and interests. A focus on sustainability means that natural and recycled materials are part of the curriculum, which will stimulate children’s curiosity to nurture creativity and self-esteem. Parents are encouraged to bring in recyclables for the children to use in their arts and crafts.
Healthy meals prepared in-house
You won’t need to worry about packing lunch and snacks for your child. We provide healthy, freshly made meals that are ‘start right eat right accredited’ created daily by our in-house cook. Our meals cater to all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
High-quality early learning programs
No two days are the same at our centre. Children and educators love to venture out on community walks into our local Mt Gambier community, with excursions to nearby locations. We also regularly welcome special community guests to the centre based on the children’s interests including librarians, emergency services, dancers and more. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
