Centre Manager - Community Kids Roxburgh Park

“Treating all children and young people with respect, regardless of race, gender, language, religion, disability or other status.”

I began my early childhood education and care career in 2014 and started working at Community Kids Roxburgh Park in 2019. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood and Education, Training and Assessment, and Masters in Business Administration.

Since starting my career in child care, I have never looked back. Every day, I look forward to walking into the child care centre to be greeted with amazing big smiles and warm hellos from the children. Working with children and helping the community is the greatest opportunity you get while working in this role.

As an educator, I’ve learnt the best way to teach our young ones is to let them explore and find their own way of learning.  I work to empower and inspire children around me through a supportive and caring environment. I try to make sure the learning process is fun for them so that their confidence comes out and shines itself.

We have long-serving, multicultural team members who reflect our local community. We have educators who speak different languages like Arabic, Turkish, Bangla, Sindhi, Hindi and Punjabi. Many have been with the centre over nine years. We have an incredible team with happy faces and work like one big family.

We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming. From the first enquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions one by one. With many of our team having children of their own, we have all been or will be, going through the process of child care and early learning. We are proud to offer support where possible. We can help our families enrol, apply for the Child Care Subsidy, or even tips to help with fussy eaters and toilet training.

Our team is here to help. We believe in maintaining respectful relationships based on open communication to encourage families engagement and build a strong sense of belonging.
