Jade Smallhorne
Centre Manager - Community Kids Valentine
“I love watching children grow and learn and put into practice the little things I show them. It is so rewarding to shape little minds.”
I began my early childhood education and care career in 2014 and started working at Community Kids Valentine in June 2021 after transferring from another G8 Education centre. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and currently studying for my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Care.
I have always had a passion for early education. My teachers from my early life are the reason I wanted to become an educator and inspire and support children every day. I love watching children grow and learn and put into practice the little things I show them. It is so rewarding to shape little minds.
I enjoy collaborating with family and carers to help provide the best quality care for each individual child. We use our extensive knowledge to support and guide each child in their academic, emotional, physical journeys and support each child through our dedicated programs. Children get to socialise with all ages groups and build confidence in their social and emotional development and well-being abilities, all while being care for by trained and caring professionals who know how to guide each child’s interests.
The team at Community Kids Valentine share a wealth of knowledge and skills. We are a beautiful small knit group with only 10 permanent staff working across two rooms. Our team makes our environments feel homely and connected, allowing children to build strong connections with educators.
