“The best outcomes are achieved through role-modelling appropriate behaviours and guiding children through learning experiences.”

I began my career in early learning in 2006 and joined Community Kids Ingleburn in 2016. I have worked in every role from Assistant Educator to Centre Manager. My experience spans all age groups, and I have a deep understanding of children’s developmental needs. I believe children should have the best start in life by exploring their natural environment and being creative.

I strongly believe in Reggio Emilia’s philosophy “the environment is the third teacher.” Children learn from themselves, their educators, and their surroundings. The best outcomes are achieved through role-modelling appropriate behaviour and guiding children through learning experiences.

We have a diverse and multicultural team at Community Kids Ingleburn. The languages spoken within our service help families feel comfortable and understand their children’s learning journey. Our team members provide an exceptional, safe, and nurturing environment.

During enrolment, families can tour the centre, meet the educators, and learn about our program, daily routine, and menu. To help children transition smoothly, we recommend at least two orientations before starting. We offer a coffee station for families, hold breakfast BBQs, and celebrate cultural events throughout the year.

Our service contributes to charity and holds events for chosen charities. We maintain regular communication with families via email, our parent information board, and the Xplor app, where families can view their children’s programmed learning and photos. Our friendly and approachable team ensures families always feel welcomed and supported.

I look forward to welcoming your family into our Ingleburn childcare centre.

“My approach focuses on hands-on, active play, which helps children develop essential skills while having fun.”

My passion for early childhood education led me to complete a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood, which gave me the opportunity to work in both early education and primary school settings. After experiencing both, I quickly realised that early childhood education was where my heart truly belonged. I joined Community Kids Ingleburn 17 years ago.

I love teaching children and inspiring the next generation of early childhood educators. My approach focuses on hands-on, active play, which helps children develop essential skills while having fun. Supporting children through their transition to primary school is something I take great pride in, ensuring they feel confident and prepared for the next stage of their learning journey.

I also mentor and support educators, assisting them in developing our curriculum, building their skills, and enhancing children’s learning experiences. Strong partnerships with families are essential to achieving the best outcomes for each child, and I encourage families to share their input and be actively involved in their child’s education. For me, learning starts from birth and never stops, and I feel privileged to play a role in supporting children, families, and educators in this incredible journey.

“Watching children explore, experiment, and learn through trial and error is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.”

I have been working in early childhood education for over 20 years. My journey with children began when I completed my Master’s in Child Development in India, followed by my Master of Teaching – Early Childhood in Australia. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in diverse roles, including with UNICEF, university students, and schools across different countries.

After taking a break to start my family, I moved to East Africa, where I volunteered in schools in Uganda and Kenya, supporting children’s education where my own children studied. In 2005, I moved to Australia and pursued my passion for early childhood education, working as an early childhood teacher for over a decade.

I have always believed that early childhood is the most crucial time in a child’s development. By providing children with a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive learning environment, we help them develop holistically and build a strong foundation for the future. Watching children explore, experiment, and learn through trial and error is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Each child is unique, and I take pride in supporting their individual learning journeys as they grow in confidence and reach each milestone.

“Helping young children grow, discover their potential, and develop positive thinking skills is an incredible accomplishment that makes my job so rewarding.”

I have been working in early childhood education since 2013. I joined Community Kids Ingleburn in 2019, and I couldn’t imagine myself in any other profession.

I worked with 3-5-year-olds for five years and have spent the recent years with 2-3-year-olds. Every day in this field brings me happiness and fulfillment. Helping young children grow, discover their potential, and develop positive thinking skills is an incredible accomplishment that makes my job so rewarding.

My passion lies in building strong relationships with children, learning and growing alongside them. I believe that children thrive in a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where they feel supported and valued. Seeing them engaged in learning, having meaningful conversations, and showing confidence in their discoveries makes my day worthwhile. And of course, nothing beats the joy of big smiles and warm cuddles at the end of a busy day!

Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Ingleburn, our experienced educators and teachers continually seek innovative ways to enrich your child’s education. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, we offer a variety of engaging and diverse learning experiences, including:

Sustainability

Our centre has a garden that children help care for, where they grow food for the kitchen along with flowers and native plants. Children learn about the growth cycle, caring for living things, propagating plants and maintaining a compost bin. We also run a Return and Earn program, with money raised going to local charities, which helps teach children about recycling and giving back to the community.

Cooking classes

Our cooking classes encourage children to take an active role in meal preparation and help them understand the importance of healthy eating. Cooking is incorporated into our program across the centre, allowing children to explore learning concepts while developing practical skills. They learn about different foods, their textures and their cultural origins, all while building confidence and independence in the kitchen.

Community engagement

We host regular in-service visits and performances from various community members to support children’s educational interests, along with annual dentist and eye screenings. Additionally, we plan excursions and maintain a strong relationship with the local primary school. Our preschool children often attend their events to familiarise themselves with the school environment.

Social and emotional learning

Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships.

Inclusive support for every child

We recognise that every child learns in their own unique way, and we are here to guide and support them at every step. Families complete aspiration sheets for each child, helping us understand their strengths, interests and goals. Using this information, we develop individualised learning plans that reflect each child’s current development. We also hold parent meetings across the year, complete half-yearly summative assessments and prepare transition to school statements to ensure families feel informed and supported.

Our service works closely with Inclusion Support professionals, as well as external specialists such as occupational therapists and speech therapists. We value the diverse languages and cultures within our community and use songs, visuals and multilingual staff to support children from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Frequently asked questions

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Learn more about our Settling-in Program.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits and spare socks.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits and spare socks.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

Community Kids uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
