Centre Manager - Community Kids Leumeah
"The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice."
Every child learns at their own pace and its within us as educators to provide the children with a nurturing environment and a quality program to support the children before they head off to primary school.
I have been working in Early Education since 2007 and hold my diploma in children’s services. I feel extremely blessed every day to have started my career in Early education at Community Kids Leumeah as I was guided and supported by the best Centre Manager at the time who has become my Best Friend. Since a young teenager I knew I wanted to teach little ones, I love that you are apart of the most important years of their life.
Working in a three way partnership is the best way to ensure the children reach their full potential. Families have access to our morning tea shelf every day, front door pick up and/or drop off if required, daily participation in the curriculum and invitations to events such as Mother's Day, Father’s Day, Grandparents Day, Christmas and Easter events and end of year leaving ceremonies.
Early social interaction benefits children’s language skills, creativity, empathy, communication and confidence. In our nursery and toddler room the educators focus on the circle of security, building positive friendships, discovering senses and building their fine and gross motor skills. Our preschool room are currently focusing on identifying numbers and letters, healthy eating, the art of science, hygiene practices, self help skills and the importance of physical activity.
The best part of my job is the team – they are so committed and dedicated in providing a positive environment for every family that joins us. We all work towards the same goal - to ensure that we exceed all standards.
