Centre Manager - Community Kids Narre Warren
“By getting to know the children and family's culture, interests, hopes, and dreams, we can work together to ensure the best learning outcomes for the children. ”
My career in early learning began in 2010. I joined Community Kids Narre Warren in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Children's services and have worked in many roles within this sector.
I have always loved to be around children. I enjoy watching children grow, learn and gain their independence. As an early childhood educator, I have learnt that children are capable and involved learners who see the smallest wonders in the world around them. It is important to understand that children are often more capable than they are given credit for. I love to observe and assist children in following their passions. To celebrate that with them, to recognise every child as an individual, and to acknowledge their thoughts and opinions are truly rewarding. My approach when supporting children's life journey and development differentiates with each child. By getting to know the children and family's culture, interests, hopes, and dreams, we can work together to ensure the best learning outcomes for the children.
There are so many benefits to attending a dedicated early childhood centre like ours. The opportunities presented to them are often endless. Observing and watching their peers and other children can often inspire and encourage them to follow their interests or discover new interests. In an early learning setting, children can develop social skills with their peers and seek guidance from dedicated educators.
We have a dedicated and diverse team who truly believe in the relationships we build with families. We have an open door policy for both our families and our community. We thrive on collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure our programs reflect the needs of our families and children. An integral part of our centre is based on the ongoing reciprocal relationships with our families. Families and community play an important part in children's lives, shown through our centre's philosophy and daily practice. By involving families and the community in our service, we create a welcoming and safe place for all, ensuring the transition to care is as smooth as possible.
