Community Kids Ashford Early Education Centre

We’re part of your village at Community Kids Ashford Child Care and Early Education Centre. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Kurralta Park, Forrestville, Keswick, Mitcham, Wayville and Everard Park in Greater Adelaide. We provide long day care and early education for children aged between 6 weeks to 6 years from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Natural play areas designed to inspire

From the moment you step into our Ashford child care centre, you will experience a world where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Located close to the local park, our child care centre is surrounded by large trees with natural play spaces, vegetable gardens, sandpits, cubby houses, water-play area and obstacle courses that create a homely backyard feel for children to discover and explore at that own accord. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoor spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.

Our indoor environments invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers. You will receive daily updates and photos detailing children’s learning and development on our parent App – Xplor.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

You won’t need to worry about packing breakfast, lunch and snacks for your child. We provide healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators grow relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Allow us to treat you to a hot coffee and a snack during your morning drop-off.

Community-based early learning

Each day is a brand-new adventure at Community Kids Ashford child care centre. Your child will have access to an alternating schedule of specialised programs including bush kinder, yoga and cooking classes. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.

Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments. Throughout the year, educators and children venture out to on excursions to our local Ashford community visiting nearby parks, schools, supermarkets and aged care facilities. We also regularly welcome special community guests to the centre based on the children’s interests including annual dental check-ups.

As members of our Community Kids community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
